ICT Help Desk Analyst

Lepelle Northern Water (LNW) is a regional water board in the Limpopo Province. We provide bulk water supply and purification services across various areas. We are currently looking for a professional and dedicated ICT Help Desk Analyst to join our team in Polokwane.

Minimum Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following criteria:

  • A National Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Systems, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of working experience in an ICT helpdesk, service desk, or first-line support role.
  • Experience working in an ITIL-based environment and using service desk tools (such as Spiceworks, Freshservice, or ManageEngine).
  • Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and endpoint protection.
  • A valid driver’s license is mandatory.
  • Registration with a relevant professional body will be an advantage.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will report to the ICT Network & Security Engineer and perform the following duties:

  • User Support: Serve as the primary contact for ICT support regarding hardware, software, printers, and applications.
  • Ticket Management: Log, categorize, and resolve technical issues using the Service Desk platform. Escalate complex problems to senior specialists.
  • Software Assistance: Help users with Microsoft 365 tools (Outlook, Teams, Excel, etc.) and troubleshoot login or configuration issues.
  • Remote Support: Assist remote and hybrid staff with VPN connections and collaboration tools.
  • Hardware Maintenance: Perform basic troubleshooting and repairs on laptops, desktops, and mobile devices. Assist with hardware and software rollouts.
  • Account Management: Manage user accounts and group memberships in Active Directory and Microsoft 365. Handle password resets and multi-factor authentication (MFA).
  • Documentation: Maintain up-to-date user guides and FAQs. Provide weekly and monthly reports on ticket trends and resolution times.
  • Training & Security: Provide basic ICT training and raise awareness about cybersecurity and company policies.
