Lepelle Northern Water (LNW) is a water services provider established under the Water Services Act. We manage several water purification and supply schemes across the Limpopo Province. We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Regional Instrument Technician to join our team.

Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following criteria:
- A National Diploma in Electrical Engineering (Electronics) or Mechanical Engineering (Mechatronics) specializing in instrumentation.
- A completed Trade Test from an accredited institution.
- At least 2 years of experience working as an Instrument Technician.
- A valid driver’s license is essential.
- Registration with a professional body will be considered an advantage.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Regional Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Planning, coordinating, and managing instrumentation projects.
- Maintaining instrumentation, communication networks, and control systems to ensure everything runs smoothly.
- Researching and recommending new technology and technical upgrades to improve operations.
- Troubleshooting and fixing telemetry and process control hardware and software.
- Testing, calibrating, and installing field instruments according to legal and safety standards.
- Reading and interpreting electrical wiring diagrams and mechanical drawings for installations and repairs.
- Managing operational, capital, and abnormal budgets for instrumentation.
- Integrating control systems with electrical and mechanical equipment.
- Setting up protective systems and alarms to prevent equipment damage.
- Supervising artisan assistants, learners, and interns.
- Ensuring all work complies with company policies, safety procedures, and ethical codes.
