The Agricultural Research Council (ARC) is South Africa’s premier agricultural research institution. We are seeking a dedicated Business Analyst to help align our business needs with technical solutions and drive excellence in our ICT operations.

Role Overview

As a Business Analyst, you will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technology teams. You will work in an agile environment to ensure that our technical systems meet operational requirements and support our mission of agricultural research and development.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct end-to-end business and systems analysis for various projects.
• Gather and document detailed business requirements through workshops, interviews, and stakeholder engagement.
• Translate requirements into clear functional specifications and solution designs.
• Collaborate with technology teams to deliver high-quality technical solutions.
• Develop specifications for reports, dashboards, and data analytics.
• Plan and lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure solutions meet quality standards.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for corporate applications.
• Create user-support materials and deliver training to staff.
• Manage ICT projects, ensuring they stay within scope, time, and budget.

Requirements

• A 3-year Diploma in IT, Business Analysis, or a related field.
• At least 2 to 3 years of experience in Business Analysis.
• Strong knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), SQL, and UML.
• Experience with system functionality, integration, and JAD sessions.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Programming experience is considered an added advantage.
