Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated professional for the role of Environmental Officer Specialised Production, focusing on Mining Appeals. The successful candidate will play a key role in legal administration and environmental oversight within the department.
Requirements
- An Honours degree (NQF8) in Natural Sciences, Environmental Sciences, or a related qualification.
- A minimum of three years of relevant working experience.
- Deep understanding of legal administration and environmental processes.
- Knowledge of Public Service procedures, departmental prescripts, and audit protocols.
- Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, including the MPRDA, NEMA, and associated regulations.
- Expertise in strategic coordination, operational planning, policy development, and risk management.
- Excellent skills in professional writing, negotiation, research, and presentation.
- Ability to gather and analyze complex information.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to resolve conflict and work with various stakeholders.
- A valid driver’s license.
