Job Summary

The Admin Clerk / Receptionist is responsible for receiving, capturing, and distributing medical samples. The goal is to ensure all information is recorded accurately so that samples can be processed quickly and efficiently to meet our service standards.

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Matric) or a relevant NQF level 4 qualification.
  • A BSc Degree will be considered an advantage.
  • 0 to 1 year of relevant working experience.
  • Proficiency in computer use and basic laboratory information systems.
  • Knowledge of general organizational policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sample Management: Sort and distribute samples according to standard operating procedures to ensure they reach the correct laboratories on time.
  • Data Entry: Register and “log” samples into the system and handle any related queries.
  • Coordination: Track sample deliveries by couriers and monitor progress to ensure results are returned within the required timeframe.
  • Hospital Rounds: Visit hospital wards to collect samples and distribute medical reports.
  • Reception & Customer Service: Manage the reception area, greet clients, provide information, and maintain a professional environment.
  • Administration: Handle administrative queries, manage stock levels for the doctor’s rooms, and ensure the workspace is clean and organized.
  • Financial Tasks: Receive payments from patients and handle banking according to company procedures.
  • Documentation: Prepare and scan patient forms into the digital system and resolve any incomplete records.
