Internship: Client Services and Projects (Limpopo)

The Construction Education and Training Authority (CETA) is looking for motivated interns to join our team in Polokwane, Limpopo. This internship is designed to provide graduates with practical work experience while supporting the development of skills within the construction sector.

Role Overview

As an intern, you will perform entry-level tasks and provide administrative support to the Client Services and Projects unit. You will work under the guidance of experienced supervisors to learn the daily operations of a public entity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle general enquiries and manage the unit’s records and filing systems.
  • Provide administrative support for budgeting processes.
  • Assist in gathering information and preparing documents for audits.
  • Collect data and help prepare monthly and quarterly reports.
  • Organize meeting agendas and take accurate minutes.
  • Prepare at least one professional presentation per quarter.
  • Perform other tasks as delegated by managers to gain broad exposure to the department.

What You Will Learn

During this program, you will develop a deep understanding of:

  • The role and mandate of CETA and the broader SETA landscape.
  • Theoretical and practical knowledge specific to your department.
  • South African regulatory frameworks, including the Skills Development Act, PFMA, and employment laws.

Minimum Requirements

To be considered for this internship, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Be a South African citizen.
  • Be under the age of 35.
  • Hold a valid South African ID.
  • Have a relevant post-matric qualification from a recognized institution.
  • Must not have participated in any previous SETA internship program.
  • Must not have been previously employed.

Educational Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with a National Diploma, BTech, or Degree in the following fields:

  • Business Management or Project Management.
  • Office Administration, Accounting, or Public Administration.
  • Business Administration or Management Assistant.
  • Any other equivalent qualification in these fields.
