Role Description

We are seeking a professional Sewer Truck Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating specialized vacuum tanker vehicles to maintain our sanitation systems and ensure waste is handled safely.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate sewer vacuum tankers (commonly known as “honey suckers”) to remove sewage, sludge, and waste from sewer lines, septic tanks, and pump stations.
• Safely drive and maneuver heavy-duty sewer trucks to various sites.
• Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and maintenance.
• Ensure all waste materials are handled, transported, and disposed of according to environmental regulations.
• Assist the team in clearing sewer blockages and responding to emergency spills.
• Keep the vehicle and equipment clean and in good working condition.

Requirements

• A Grade 12 / Matric certificate.
• A valid Code C or EC driver’s license.
• A valid Professional Driving Permit (PrDP).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience operating sewer vacuum trucks.
• Basic knowledge of water and sanitation operations.
