Position Overview

We are looking for a friendly and efficient Shop Assistant Cashier to join our team at Clicks Thula Mall. In this role, you will be the face of our brand, ensuring customers receive excellent service while maintaining a clean and well-stocked shopping environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle point-of-sale (POS) transactions quickly and accurately.
• Scan merchandise and process payments, including Clicks Clubcard rewards.
• Ensure safe and secure cash handling at all times.
• Encourage customers to join the Clubcard loyalty program to meet store targets.
• Inform customers about current promotions and special deals.
• Provide professional and friendly service to every customer.
• Perform merchandising tasks and ensure the store is clean and organized.
• Stay updated on product information, store events, and company values.

Requirements

Education and Experience

• Minimum Requirement: Grade 12 (Matric) certificate.
• Preferred: 50% or higher in Mathematics and English at the Grade 12 level.
• Preferred Experience: Previous experience in a retail or customer-facing role.

Skills and Competencies

• Strong basic math and numeracy skills.
• Good communication and people skills.
• Basic computer literacy.
• Ability to solve problems and organize daily tasks.
• A positive attitude and the ability to work well under pressure.
• Reliability in following instructions and store procedures.
