Job Opportunity: Shop Assistant Cashier – Clicks Venda Plaza

Introduction
Clicks Group is a leading retail healthcare group with over 840 stores across southern Africa, including well-known brands like Clicks, GNC, The Body Shop, and Claire’s. We are looking for a motivated Shop Assistant Cashier to join our Venda Plaza team. Your main goal will be to provide excellent customer service, handle point-of-sale (POS) duties, and assist with merchandising to ensure a great shopping experience for every customer.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle all point-of-sale activities efficiently and accurately.
- Scan products and process payments, ensuring the safe handling of cash.
- Promote the Clicks ClubCard program and help customers sign up for rewards.
- Inform customers about current promotions and sales to help them “feel good and pay less.”
- Provide friendly, professional service as a brand ambassador for Clicks.
- Assist with merchandising, stocking shelves, and keeping the store clean and organized.
- Stay updated on product information, store events, and promotions to assist customers effectively.
Requirements
Education:
- Grade 12 (Matric) is essential.
- Preference will be given to candidates with at least 50% in Mathematics and English.
Experience:
- Previous experience in a retail or customer-facing environment is an advantage.
Skills and Competencies
- Basic math and numeracy skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer literacy.
- Ability to solve problems and follow store procedures.
- Organized, reliable, and able to work well under pressure.
- A positive attitude with a focus on delivering excellent customer service.
