Shop Assistant Cashier – Clicks Elim

Role Purpose

Your goal is to provide excellent customer service by managing point-of-sale transactions efficiently and helping with store merchandising. You will be the face of our brand, ensuring every customer has a positive shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Customer Service: Provide a friendly and professional service to all customers as a brand ambassador.
• Point of Sale: Accurately scan merchandise and process payments. Handle cash securely and efficiently.
• Loyalty Program: Actively promote the Clicks Clubcard and help customers sign up for rewards.
• Sales Promotion: Inform customers about current promotions and special deals to help them save money.
• Merchandising: Keep shelves stocked and ensure the store is clean, organized, and meets visual standards.
• Product Knowledge: Stay updated on products, prices, and events to provide accurate information to shoppers.

Requirements

Education and Experience

• Essential: Grade 12 (Matric) qualification.
• Preferred: 50% or higher in Math and English at the Grade 12 level.
• Desirable: Previous experience in a retail or customer-facing environment.

Skills and Knowledge

• Basic math and numeracy skills.
• Strong communication and “people skills.”
• Basic computer literacy.
• Ability to solve problems and organize daily tasks.
• Understanding of stock management and retail principles.
