Role Overview

We are looking for an Administrative Assistant to support our Commercial Lines department. In this role, you will be responsible for generating business quotations for new and existing clients, preparing files, and ensuring the smooth activation of policies. You will also handle daily underwriting requests and manage the policy renewal process to support our advisers and clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate and manage commercial insurance quotations based on adviser requests.
  • Ensure all client contact details and registration information are accurate.
  • Maintain the quotation register and update the “myPractice” system.
  • Prepare comprehensive quotation files, including application forms, debit order mandates, and compliance documents.
  • Activate accepted quotations with product providers and send welcome packs to clients.
  • Handle day-to-day underwriting requests and update policy schedules.
  • Manage the renewal process by requesting terms from providers and preparing renewal packs.
  • Ensure all administrative processes and compliance requirements are met.

Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Matric).
  • NQF Level 4 Short Term Insurance qualification.
  • Successfully completed RE 5 Examination (Representatives).
  • DOFA confirmation from the FSCA.
  • At least 3 years of experience in the short-term insurance industry.
  • Previous experience within a brokerage is an advantage.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Fluent in English and at least one other official South African language.
