Position Overview

We are looking for two motivated individuals to join our Clicks Game Centre team in Polokwane as Shop Assistants / Cashiers. Your primary goal will be to provide excellent customer service, manage point-of-sale transactions efficiently, and ensure the store is well-merchandised to create a positive shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently at the point of sale.
  • Handle cash securely and ensure correct scanning of merchandise.
  • Promote the Clicks Clubcard program and enroll new members to meet store targets.
  • Assist customers by sharing information about current promotions and special deals.
  • Act as a brand ambassador by offering friendly, professional, and visible service.
  • Perform merchandising tasks and maintain general store cleanliness according to company standards.
  • Keep up to date with product knowledge, ranges, and store events to assist customers effectively.

Requirements

Education and Experience:

  • Grade 12 (Matric) qualification is essential.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with at least 50% in Mathematics and English at the Grade 12 level.
  • Previous experience in a retail or customer-facing environment is beneficial but not required.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic numeracy and the ability to perform simple calculations.
  • Basic computer literacy.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to organize daily tasks.
  • The ability to follow instructions and work well under pressure.
  • A customer-focused mindset with a friendly and persuasive personality.
