Shop Assistant / Cashier – Clicks Mall of the North (Polokwane)

About the Role

Clicks Group is looking for two motivated Shop Assistants / Cashiers to join our team at the Mall of the North. In this role, you will be the face of our store, helping customers have a great shopping experience through friendly service, efficient checkout handling, and keeping our shelves well-stocked.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle checkout duties quickly and accurately.
• Scan items correctly and process payments, including Clicks Clubcard rewards.
• Manage cash safely and responsibly.
• Promote the Clicks Clubcard and help new members sign up.
• Tell customers about our latest deals and promotions to help them “feel good and pay less.”
• Keep the store clean, organized, and properly merchandised.
• Stay informed about our products and services to answer customer questions.
• Follow all store procedures and work as a helpful member of the team.

Requirements

Education and Experience:

• Essential: You must have a Grade 12 (Matric) certificate.
• Desirable: Previous experience in a retail store or customer service environment.
• Desirable: At least 50% in Mathematics and English at the Grade 12 level.

Skills and Abilities:

• Basic math and numeracy skills.
• Clear and friendly communication skills.
• Basic computer literacy.
• Ability to solve simple problems and organize your work.
• A positive attitude and a focus on helping customers.
• Ability to follow instructions and work well under pressure.
