Requirements
To qualify for this position, applicants must have:
- A Diploma or Degree in Nursing (Basic R171, R174, or R425 qualification) or an equivalent qualification.
- Current registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional or Registered Nurse.
- Strong skills in communication, report writing, and facilitation.
- Excellent planning, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- The ability to manage information and coordinate healthcare services effectively.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following duties:
- Provide leadership and supervision to implement nursing plans and ensure high-quality patient care.
- Practice nursing in accordance with all relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
- Maintain constructive working relationships with nursing staff and other healthcare stakeholders.
- Manage human and material resources efficiently and effectively.
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.
- Organize your own work and support personnel to maintain high service standards.
- Uphold the Batho-Pele Principles and the Patient’s Rights Charter to improve service delivery.
- Act as a shift leader in the unit when required.
- Participate in training, research, and professional development.
- Be prepared to work various shifts and rotate through different units as needed.
