Role Overview

We are looking for a Wellness Assistant to join our team in Kuruman. In this role, you will provide professional service and basic advice on healthcare, nutrition, and supplements. Your goal is to help our customers make informed choices while helping the store reach its sales targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service by being visible and proactive on the shop floor.
  • Consult with customers to offer advice on healthcare, nutrition, and supplement products.
  • Help drive sales by recommending relevant products and meeting monthly targets.
  • Manage stock by ensuring products are available, correctly rotated, and neatly displayed.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene within the healthcare aisles.
  • Follow all store procedures to prevent stock loss and wastage.
  • Stay updated on product knowledge and share information with team members.

Required Skills and Knowledge

  • Retail Knowledge: Understanding of stock management, merchandising, and general store operations.
  • Communication: Strong interpersonal skills and a friendly, service-oriented attitude.
  • Sales: Ability to identify customer needs and suggest appropriate products.
  • Health & Fitness: A basic understanding of supplements and nutrition is highly preferred.
  • Tech Skills: Basic computer literacy is an advantage.

Minimum Requirements

  • Experience: At least 1 year of related experience in retail or customer service. Experience with sports nutrition or vitamins is a plus.
  • Education: A Matric certificate is essential. Applicants must have achieved at least 50% in English, 50% in Mathematics (or 60% in Mathematics Literacy), and a pass in either Physical Science or Life Science.
  • Qualification: A qualification in sports, fitness, or nutrition is desirable but not mandatory.
