About the Position

The Department of Public Works and Infrastructure is looking for a professional and dedicated individual to serve as the Director for EPWP Beneficiary Training and Partnership Support. This role is vital in supporting our mission to provide better public services and infrastructure for all citizens.

Requirements

  • Education: A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (NQF Level 07) in Human Resource Management, Public Management, Education, Sociology, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience in a middle or senior management role.
  • Travel: A valid driver’s license is required, and you must be willing to travel extensively.
  • Flexibility: Ability to adapt your work schedule to meet professional demands.

Knowledge and Expertise

Candidates should have a strong understanding of the following areas:

  • The Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP) and government job creation policies.
  • Programme and project management, including monitoring and evaluation.
  • Training and enterprise development.
  • Public service legislation, including the PFMA, Treasury Regulations, and the Public Service Act.
  • SAQA and NQF frameworks.
  • Stakeholder management and the functioning of national, provincial, and local government.

Skills and Personal Attributes

  • Leadership: Strong strategic capability and people management skills.
  • Communication: Advanced interpersonal, diplomacy, and communication abilities.
