Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Director for Strategic Planning. This role is essential for guiding the department’s long-term vision, managing business planning processes, and ensuring we meet our organizational goals through effective leadership.
Minimum Requirements
- A Bachelor’s Degree (NQF level 7) in Public Administration, Business Administration, Business Management, Economics, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience at a middle or senior management level within strategic planning or a relevant field.
- The flexibility to adapt your work schedule to meet professional requirements and urgent deadlines.
Key Knowledge Areas
To be successful in this role, you should have a deep understanding of:
- Strategic and business planning processes.
- Relevant government legislation, including the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA), Treasury Instructions, and the Public Service Act.
- Standards related to the built environment industry.
- The functioning of national, provincial, and local government.
- Government clusters and parliamentary protocol.
