Educational Requirements

  • A recognized NQF level 7 qualification in Computer Science, Information Management, or a related field.

Professional Experience

  • At least five years of working experience in software development and knowledge or information management.
  • A minimum of three years of experience at a supervisory or management level (Assistant Director level).

Technical Skills and Knowledge

The ideal candidate should have strong technical expertise in the following areas:

  • Software Development: Proficiency in C#, .NET, MS SharePoint, and PHP.
  • Database Management: Strong skills in developing and managing databases such as MS Access, SQL, and Oracle.
  • Technology Platforms: Working knowledge of Geographical Information Systems (GIS), Web Technology, and Mobile Technology.
  • Quality Assurance: Ability to ensure content quality across various digital platforms.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong negotiation and advocacy skills.
  • Ability to manage budgets and oversee human and physical resources.
  • Strong computer literacy and proficiency in standard software packages.
