Role Overview
We are looking for a friendly and professional Sales Assistant to join our Electrical Department. Your main goal is to help customers find exactly what they need, provide expert advice, and ensure they have a great shopping experience. By providing excellent service, you will help drive sales and support the growth of our business.
Key Responsibilities
- Help customers in a professional and friendly manner.
- Recommend the best products to solve customers’ electrical problems.
- Maintain accurate stock levels and assist with regular stock counts.
- Place new stock orders when necessary.
- Ensure products are neatly displayed (merchandising) and clearly priced.
- Handle basic administrative tasks, such as managing the customer order book and filing invoices.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Assist with any other tasks assigned by management.
Requirements
- Matric (Grade 12) certificate.
- At least 2 years of experience working in a hardware store environment.
- Minimum of 2 years of specific knowledge and experience with electrical products.
- A natural talent for sales and customer service.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work well within a team.
