Role Overview

We are looking for a friendly and professional Sales Assistant to join our Electrical Department. Your main goal is to help customers find exactly what they need, provide expert advice, and ensure they have a great shopping experience. By providing excellent service, you will help drive sales and support the growth of our business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Help customers in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Recommend the best products to solve customers’ electrical problems.
  • Maintain accurate stock levels and assist with regular stock counts.
  • Place new stock orders when necessary.
  • Ensure products are neatly displayed (merchandising) and clearly priced.
  • Handle basic administrative tasks, such as managing the customer order book and filing invoices.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Assist with any other tasks assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Matric (Grade 12) certificate.
  • At least 2 years of experience working in a hardware store environment.
  • Minimum of 2 years of specific knowledge and experience with electrical products.
  • A natural talent for sales and customer service.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work well within a team.
