Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Matric) plus a National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Public Administration.
  • A minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience in an administrative environment.
  • Knowledge of the Community Development environment is considered a strong advantage.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will provide essential administrative and research support to the Community Development Workers (CDW) Programme. Main duties include:

  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and coordinate sub-directorate reports and research outcomes. Manage data collection templates and create presentations using statistical data.
  • Administrative Support: Support the Assistant Director with information flow and document management. Handle office correspondence, manage office supplies, and keep accurate filing records.
  • Stakeholder Liaison: Work with internal and external partners to organize promotional materials and outreach programmes.
  • Case Management: Monitor community concerns referred from various government levels. Track these issues in a case management system, ensure they are resolved, and provide feedback to the sub-directorate.
  • Meeting Coordination: Provide logistical support for meetings, including sending reminders, recording minutes, and tracking reporting deadlines.
  • Performance Monitoring: Analyze regional performance trends to help align monthly reports with department targets.
