Requirements
To be considered for this position, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Must have at least a Grade 10 certificate.
- Must be a resident of the Midvaal Local Municipality.
- Must be currently unemployed.
- Must be bilingual and able to understand English.
- Must be in excellent physical health and able to perform heavy manual labor in different weather conditions.
- Must be able to follow instructions and carry out tasks efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
As a General Worker in the Parks Section, your duties will include:
- Loading and unloading materials, tools, and equipment required for daily tasks.
- Using manual and electrical garden tools for grass cutting, cleaning flower beds, sweeping, raking, and brush cutting.
- Cleaning and maintaining work areas using various manual labor tools.
- Placing traffic signs to warn the public when work is being performed near municipal roads.
- Following all legal instructions from supervisors to ensure high productivity.
- Performing other related tasks as requested by management.
Protective clothing and the necessary tools for the job will be provided by the employer.
