Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled professional to manage the Revenue Division for the Integrated Rapid Public Transport Network (IRPTN). The successful candidate will oversee financial reporting, manage budgets, and lead a dedicated team to ensure our financial operations are accurate and compliant with all regulations.

Minimum Requirements

  • Education: A BCom degree in Accounting or Financial Management.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience in budgeting, accounting, forecasting, and resource allocation.
  • Sector Knowledge: Previous experience in a large organization is required; experience within local government is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Division Leadership: Manage the BRT revenue division by setting clear goals and organizing daily operations.
  • Strategy & Risk: Assist in creating governance strategies and risk management plans for the department.
  • Administrative Oversight: Supervise the management accounting unit to ensure all processes meet quality and time standards.
  • Staff Management: Delegate tasks to subordinates, monitor productivity, and provide guidance on specialized projects.
  • Financial Accuracy: Oversee general ledger transactions and ensure financial statements are compiled correctly.
  • Reporting: Review income and expenditure reports for accuracy and ensure the division complies with all legislative requirements.
  • Budget Monitoring: Analyze the expenditure budget through regular financial reports and statistical data.
