Minimum Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following criteria:

  • A BCom or B Tech degree in Financial Accounting or Financial Management.
  • At least 4 years of experience in budgeting, accounting, forecasting, and resource allocation.
  • Experience working within a large organization is required, and experience in the local government sector is preferred.

Core Responsibilities

The successful candidate will lead the expenditure division and oversee financial management tasks. Key duties include:

  • Managing the BRT expenditure division and setting clear goals for the team.
  • Assisting with the development of governance strategies and risk management plans.
  • Supervising the management accounting unit to ensure all tasks are completed accurately and on time.
  • Leading and delegating tasks to staff members to maintain high productivity.
  • Providing guidance on project planning and financial investigations.
  • Ensuring all expenditure activities are accurately recorded and tracked.
  • Organizing workflow and coordinating activities within the revenue division.
  • Analyzing the expenditure budget using regular financial reports.
  • Compiling detailed reports for the Senior Manager of Financial Accounting.
