Role Purpose
The Wellness Assistant is responsible for providing exceptional service and basic advice on healthcare, nutrition, and supplementation. The goal is to assist customers with expert knowledge, maximize sales, and build long-term customer loyalty.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver proactive customer service by identifying and meeting customer needs regarding health and supplements.
- Provide suitable advice on healthcare and nutritional products through consultations.
- Drive healthcare sales by promoting a wide range of brands through cross-selling and upselling.
- Manage stock levels in healthcare aisles by following inventory and merchandising procedures.
- Prevent stock loss and wastage by adhering to stock rotation and risk management policies.
- Maintain high standards of store hygiene and cleanliness to ensure a pleasant shopping experience.
- Follow all store standard operating procedures and merchandising guidelines.
- Commit to continuous learning to stay updated on product knowledge and share information with team members.
Requirements
Education:
- Matric (Required: 50% in English, 50% in Maths or 60% in Maths Lit, and a pass in Physical Science or Life Science).
- A qualification in sports, fitness, or nutrition is an advantage.
Experience:
- At least 1 year of related retail or sales experience.
- Previous experience working with sports nutrition and vitamin products is preferred.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven selling and merchandising abilities.
- A strong focus on customer service.
- Ability to relate to others and influence purchasing decisions.
- Basic computer literacy.
- Goal-oriented with the ability to follow instructions and procedures effectively.
