Role Overview
We are looking for a dedicated Junior HR Assistant to join our team in Durban. This role focuses on providing essential administrative support to the Human Resources department, ensuring smooth daily operations and efficient employee management.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the administrative tasks for new employee onboarding and terminations.
- Help compile and generate various HR reports.
- Coordinate and schedule both internal and external training programs.
- Support the recruitment process, including the scheduling of candidate interviews.
- Maintain and update employee files to ensure accurate record-keeping.
- Check and verify overtime and leave records before they are sent to payroll.
- Handle various ad hoc HR administrative tasks and special projects as needed.
Requirements
- Education: A Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management.
- Experience: 2 to 3 years of professional experience in a Human Resources environment.
Skills and Competencies
- High level of attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong computer literacy, particularly in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Proven ability to plan and organize tasks effectively.
