Role Overview
The Western Cape Department of Health and Wellness is looking for a dedicated Senior Administrative Officer to join the Finance team. This role focuses on financial administration, expenditure management, and overseeing patient records and revenue systems.
Key Requirements
- Education: A three-year National Diploma or Degree in a relevant field.
- Experience: Proven experience in financial and expenditure management, as well as revenue management.
- Administrative Skills: Practical experience in patient administration and medical records management.
- Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience using BAS, LOGIS, CLINICOM, and AR systems.
- Leadership: Previous experience in a supervisory or management role.
- Licensing: A valid driver’s license (Code B/EB).
Core Competencies
- In-depth knowledge of financial legislative frameworks, including the PFMA and National Treasury Regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and financial reporting.
- Strong understanding of SCOA codes and accounting processes.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet strict deadlines in a high-pressure environment.
- Excellent communication, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
