Overview

eThekwini Municipality is the largest metropolitan area in KwaZulu-Natal and the third-largest in South Africa. We are looking for a skilled Driver/Operator to join our team in Durban. This is a full-time position suited for a professional with experience in heavy machinery transportation.

Job Purpose

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving and operating heavy plant machinery and equipment. The primary focus of this role is to safely transport machinery to and from various work sites as required.

Minimum Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following criteria:

• Grade 12 (Matric) certificate or an equivalent NQF Level 4 qualification.
• A valid Code EC-14 motor vehicle driving license.
• Completed Hazchem DGP (Dangerous Goods and Passengers) training.
• A valid Heavy Plant Operator Certificate.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in driving or operating heavy machinery.
• Sludge Spillages training (candidates without this must be willing to obtain it within 6 months of employment).
