Purpose of the Role
The Enterprise Risk Management Advisor is responsible for planning, leading, and implementing the municipality’s risk management framework. This role involves providing strategic and operational advice to improve how the city identifies and manages potential risks.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation of Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) processes.
- Provide expert advisory services on risk management best practices.
- Develop strategies to improve the overall risk management maturity of the municipality.
- Offer guidance on both strategic and operational risk issues.
Requirements
- Education: A Diploma (NQF Level 6) or equivalent qualification in Auditing, Accounting, Finance, or Computer Science.
- Experience: At least 4 years of relevant experience in risk management or a related field.
- License: A valid motor vehicle driver’s license is essential.
Special Conditions
Please note that the Risk Specialist position operates on a two-year rotation cycle to ensure varied exposure and balanced organizational oversight.
