Position: Forensic Investigator

Job Purpose
In this role, you will lead forensic investigations into fraud, corruption, and administrative misconduct within the eThekwini Municipality and its associated entities, such as the Durban International Convention Centre (ICC) and uShaka Marine World. You will manage cases from start to finish, ensuring that evidence is gathered correctly and findings are reported accurately.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough investigations into financial crimes and mismanagement.
- Collect, manage, and protect evidence throughout the investigation process.
- Prepare detailed reports and present findings to management.
- Testify in legal or disciplinary hearings regarding investigation outcomes.
- Help identify risks and develop strategies to prevent future fraud.
Requirements
- Education: A Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Forensic Investigations, Law, Auditing, Policing, or a similar field.
- Experience: At least 3 years of experience specifically in fraud investigations.
- License: A valid driver’s license is required.
