Role Overview

We are looking for a Service Desk Agent to provide first-line technical support to our employees. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving ICT issues, ranging from simple requests to more complex technical faults. Your goal is to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by responding to service requests efficiently and professionally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the first point of contact for all IT-related issues via phone, email, or in person.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical problems on the first level.
  • Log and track all service requests using the company’s IT management tools.
  • Provide support for Microsoft Office applications, internet connectivity, and network issues.
  • Assign more complex issues to the correct technical support teams when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate user information in compliance with privacy laws (POPIA).
  • Help improve service desk procedures and documentation.
  • Support the installation, repair, and upgrading of company devices and applications.

Requirements

  • Education: Diploma (NQF 6) in Information Technology or a related field.
  • Experience: 1 to 2 years of experience in IT support or a customer service environment.
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of Microsoft products and experience with IT service management tools.
  • Certifications: Microsoft A+ and N+ certifications are highly advantageous.
  • Travel: Must be willing to travel if required for the job.
