Job Overview
Eskom is seeking a qualified Senior Plant Operator to join the team in Mpumalanga. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining plant efficiency, performing routine checks, and supporting safety operations.
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications:
- N3 Certificate with Mathematics and Science.
- NQF4 National Certificate in Fossil Power Plant Operation.
Experience:
- At least 2 years of experience as a Learner Plant Operator or Plant Operator.
Required Skills and Competencies
- Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in defect reporting and log writing.
- Safety: Firefighting skills and emergency response training.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Computer Literacy: Ability to use basic computer programs effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular and routine checks on plant equipment.
- Prepare the plant for service and ensure operational readiness.
- Execute daily operating activities to maintain power generation.
- Serve as a member of the fire and rescue team when required.
- Complete any other legitimate tasks assigned by management.
