The City of Tshwane is seeking a dedicated professional to join our team as the Deputy Director for Resorts Operations. This role is responsible for overseeing resort and caravan park operations across Regions 1 to 3, ensuring high standards of service and efficient management.

Requirements
To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Education: A three-year tertiary qualification (Degree or National Diploma) in Nature Conservation, Tourism, Eco-tourism, Business Management, or a related field.
- Experience: At least eight years of relevant experience in resort operations and tourism management.
- Leadership: Previous managerial experience is highly preferred.
- Licensing: A valid Code B driving licence.
- Skills: Proficiency in computer use and office software.
- Clearance: Must pass a criminal record check (including fingerprinting by the Tshwane Metro Police Department).
Primary Responsibilities
The successful candidate will lead the resort operations team and focus on the following areas:
- Management: Handle general management duties and oversee financial functions for the department.
- Performance: Implement and monitor performance management systems to ensure team productivity.
- Operations: Establish and manage services for resorts, caravan parks, and camping grounds.
- Project Oversight: Plan and execute resort projects, ensuring they are completed on time and meet all specifications.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with relevant partners to ensure project compliance and success.
- Health and Safety: Ensure all operations follow the Occupational Health and Safety Act requirements to maintain a safe environment for staff and visitors.
