We power industries, mines, commercial businesses, and residential communities. As we build new power stations and infrastructure to meet growing energy needs, we are looking for dedicated professionals to join our engineering team.
Job Purpose and Responsibilities
In this role, you will support the engineering department by executing high-quality design work and ensuring the integrity of our power plant assets. Your key responsibilities include:
- Executing engineering design work and delivering standardized technical outputs.
- Performing technical studies and solving complex engineering problems.
- Contributing to the maintenance and long-term health of plant infrastructure.
- Providing expert consultation on discipline-related engineering issues.
- Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure project success.
Minimum Requirements
- Education: A BSc or B.Eng degree in Engineering (NQF level 8 with 480 credits).
- Experience: At least 2 years of technical experience in engineering-related technologies.
- Professional Registration: Must be registered as a Candidate Engineer with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA).
Skills and Competencies
Technical Knowledge:
- Understanding of power plant systems, technology, and engineering theory.
- Familiarity with design codes, standards, and relevant legislation.
- Experience in technical problem-solving and project management.
- Knowledge of cost analysis and economic evaluations.
Professional Skills:
- Strong analytical and multi-disciplinary problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent technical report writing and presentation skills.
- Ability to plan for the full life cycle of engineering projects.
