Role Overview

We are looking for a Chief Advisor to lead our quantitative modelling and analysis. In this role, you will support our organization’s long-term investment and trading strategies by providing expert energy planning and economic analysis. You will be responsible for researching new techniques and ensuring our strategic recommendations are backed by solid data.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct advanced modelling and analysis to support investment and trading strategies.
  • Lead medium- and long-term energy planning initiatives.
  • Perform detailed operational, economic, and financial analyses.
  • Research and develop new energy planning methods and improve existing techniques.
  • Update and maintain models to reflect current market assumptions and requirements.
  • Monitor and assess new developments within the energy sector.
  • Translate complex data findings into strategic insights and recommendations for the organization.

Minimum Requirements

  • Education: A Bachelor’s Degree or B Tech in Business Management, Commerce, Engineering, or Sciences (NQF7).
  • Experience: A minimum of 7 years of industry-related experience in energy analytics.
  • Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in business intelligence, analytical tools, and data analysis within the energy industry.
