Youth Employment Service (YES) Programme – Bethal HUB (Grootvlei and Leslie)
Eskom is South Africa’s primary electricity provider, generating approximately 95% of the country’s power. We are proud to support the Youth Employment Service (YES) initiative, a partnership with the Presidency designed to tackle youth unemployment. We are looking for motivated young South Africans to join our team and gain life-changing work experience in the energy industry.
Successful candidates will be offered a 12-month contract at various Eskom operations across South Africa.

Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this programme, you must meet the following criteria:
- Must be a South African Citizen.
- Must be between the ages of 18 and 34.
- Must have a Grade 12 certificate (Matric) with Mathematics or Mathematical Literacy.
- Must be proficient in English and at least one other official South African language.
Selection Criteria
In addition to the requirements above, applicants must also meet these eligibility rules:
- You must not have been employed permanently by a single employer for more than one year.
- You must not be studying full-time during the year of employment.
- You must not have participated in or registered for a YES initiative previously.
- Applicants will undergo a recruitment process before being placed within Eskom’s divisions.
