Job Opportunity: Process Controller – Bulk (Inland)
The Buffalo City Metropolitan Municipality is located on the east coast of the Eastern Cape province in South Africa. The municipality serves the areas of East London, Bhisho, and Qonce, as well as the townships of Mdantsane and Zwelitsha.
Role Overview
We are looking for a dedicated Process Controller for our Bulk Water Supply Services. This is a full-time position based in the Eastern Cape, focusing on the Safety and Environmental (HSE) field.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 10 OR an N1 Water Treatment/Water Care certificate.
- A certificate in Water Purification Process Control (NQF level 2).
- Professional registration as a Class 3 Process Controller.
- A valid Code B/EB driver’s license.
- At least five (5) years of experience working at a recognized water treatment plant.
Key Responsibilities
As a Process Controller, your daily tasks will include:
- Conducting regular operational monitoring of water systems.
- Monitoring and managing water treatment processes.
- Identifying and isolating any defective or faulty equipment.
- Performing routine maintenance tasks to ensure system efficiency.

- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to report and coordinate activities.
