About the Position

The Buffalo City Metropolitan Municipality is looking for a qualified Process Controller to join the Water Supply Services team. This role is essential for managing water treatment and storage processes to ensure the community has access to safe and reliable water.

Requirements

• Education: Grade 10 OR an N1 certificate in Water Treatment, Water Care, or Water Purification Process Control (NQF Level 2).
• Professional Registration: Must be registered as a Class 2 Process Controller.
• Experience: At least five (5) years of experience working at a recognized water treatment plant.
• License: A valid Code B/EB driver’s license.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following tasks:

• Data Management: Recording logistical data and maintaining accurate registers.
• Operational Records: Keeping detailed records of all water storage and pumping processes.
• Monitoring: Tracking water levels at outlying reservoirs.
• Supervision: Leading and managing assigned staff members.
• Process Control: Managing and monitoring water treatment processes to ensure standards are met.

• Planning and Organizing: Ability to identify the resources needed for specific tasks and manage them efficiently.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively share information with the team.
