Key Responsibilities

As an Enrolled Nurse in the Surgical Ward, your primary goal is to provide safe, high-quality care to our patients. Your duties will include:

• Performing nursing duties according to the official scope of practice for Enrolled Nurses.
• Following all hospital policies, regulations, and SANC legislation.
• Providing direct care and support to patients within the surgical ward.
• Addressing and resolving patient complaints and concerns promptly.
• Ensuring a safe environment for both patients and staff.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must meet the following criteria:

• Registration: Must be registered with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as an Enrolled Nurse with a valid Annual Practicing Certificate (APC).
• Experience: Preferably two or more years of experience in a similar nursing role.
• Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with doctors, patients, and colleagues.
• Technical Skills: Basic computer literacy, including proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
• Flexibility: Must be willing to work shifts (day and night) and additional hours when necessary.
• Independence: Ability to work well under minimal supervision.
