Nyandeni Local Municipality is located in the Eastern Cape province within the OR Tambo District. Our administrative hub is in Libode. We are committed to service excellence and professional local governance in the former Transkei region.
Requirements for the Position
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Education: A Bachelor’s Degree or National Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or an equivalent qualification (NQF Level 6).
- Experience: A minimum of 4 years of professional experience specifically in Supply Chain Management.
- Certification: Must possess a Certificate in Municipal Finance Management.
- Driver’s License: A valid Code 8/B or Code C driving license is required.
- Added Advantage: Professional registration with a relevant body will be highly regarded.
Key Competencies and Skills
We are looking for a candidate who demonstrates the following:
- In-depth knowledge of Contract Management and supply chain processes.
- Advanced computer literacy, particularly in Microsoft Excel, along with strong analytical and report-writing skills.
- Extensive understanding of legislative frameworks, including the MFMA, SCM Regulations, PPPFA, BBBEE, and GRAP Standards.
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to think strategically and make sound decisions.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for managing clients and staff.
- The ability to remain productive and organized under pressure to meet strict deadlines.
