Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will handle daily financial tasks and support the accounting department. Core duties include:
- Managing full debtors and creditors functions, including reconciliations and follow-ups.
- Assisting with bookkeeping, preparing journals, and completing month-end processes.
- Communicating effectively with the Sales, Parts, and Service departments to resolve queries.
- Ensuring all collections and payments are made accurately and on time.
- Maintaining precise financial records and assisting with audits.
- Generating reports using accounting software and advanced Excel functions.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you should have the following qualifications and skills:
- 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience (experience in a motor dealership is a strong advantage).
- A solid understanding of bookkeeping principles, debtors, and creditors.
- Proficiency in Excel and experience working with accounting systems.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong follow-up skills.
- The ability to remain productive and calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive, trustworthy, and solution-oriented approach to work.
