Senior Laboratory Technical Assistant
The City of Cape Town is looking for a dedicated Senior Laboratory Technical Assistant to join our team. Cape Town is a major economic hub and South Africa’s oldest city. We are looking for a professional who can help us maintain high standards of service and scientific accuracy.

Role Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need the following qualifications and skills:
- A National Senior Certificate (Grade 12) with Mathematics and Science.
- Formal training in IEC/ISO 17025.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in a laboratory or the water sector.
- One to two years of experience in an ISO 17025-accredited laboratory is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.).
- Physical fitness and the ability to work in various weather conditions.
- The flexibility to work at different locations across the City of Cape Town.
- Availability to work overtime during emergencies.
