Key Responsibilities
As a Driver, you will be responsible for the safe transportation of goods or passengers. Your daily duties will include:
- Operating company vehicles safely to reach various destinations on time.
- Performing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the vehicle is safe and in good working order.
- Strictly following all traffic laws and road regulations.
- Loading and unloading items from the vehicle as required.
- Keeping the vehicle clean and organized, both inside and out.
- Maintaining clear communication with supervisors or dispatchers for updates and instructions.
- Keeping accurate logs of mileage, fuel, maintenance, and deliveries.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following criteria:
- A valid South African driver’s license for light vehicles.
- A clean driving record with no major violations.
- Previous professional driving experience is preferred.
- Good knowledge of local roads and routes in the Gauteng area.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-service-oriented mindset.
- The ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
