Store Driver – Dis-Chem Pharmacies (Weskus Mall, Vredenburg)
Dis-Chem Pharmacies, South Africa’s leading pharmaceutical retailer, is looking for a professional and reliable Store Driver for our Weskus Mall branch in Vredenburg. In this role, you will ensure that our customers receive their orders on time, safely, and with excellent service.
Minimum Requirements
- Education: Grade 12 / Matric certificate.
- License: A valid driver’s license.
- Work Schedule: Ability to work retail hours, including shifts and weekends.
- Citizenship: South African citizenship with a clear criminal and credit record.
- Physical Fitness: Able to lift and move heavy boxes and work in various weather conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver products to customers promptly and professionally.
- Prioritize “fridge line” items by using cooler boxes and cold packs to maintain product quality.
- Follow the most efficient routes to ensure timely deliveries and return to the store quickly for subsequent trips.
- Take full responsibility for the safety of the stock and the vehicle during the delivery process.
- Ensure all delivery paperwork and invoices are correctly signed and recorded.
- Process customer payments via cash or EFT accurately.
- Maintain the company vehicle by performing regular safety checks, keeping it clean, and updating the vehicle logbook.
- Adhere to all National Road Traffic rules and company safety policies.
- Build positive relationships with customers through friendly and professional service.
