Cape Union Mart has been equipping South African adventurers since 1933. As the country’s favorite outdoor adventure store, we provide high-quality gear for hiking, camping, trail running, mountain biking, and more. We are currently looking for a professional and motivated Permanent Part-Time Sales Assistant to join our team in Potchefstroom.

Role Overview

As a Sales Assistant, you will be the face of Cape Union Mart. Your goal is to provide exceptional service, share your passion for the outdoors, and ensure every customer finds exactly what they need for their next adventure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service by using effective selling techniques.
  • Consistently meet and exceed individual sales targets.
  • Help drive store turnover by identifying sales opportunities.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping and visual merchandising to keep the store looking its best.
  • Follow all stock loss control procedures to protect store inventory.
  • Contribute to an inspiring and positive shopping environment.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 6 months of retail experience.
  • Matric certificate or equivalent qualification.
  • Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A clear criminal record.
  • Interest in current clothing trends and the outdoor lifestyle.
