Role Summary
We are looking for a skilled Brewing Process Artisan to join our team at the Chamdor Brewery in Gauteng. This is a full-time position focused on maintaining high standards of production, quality control, and equipment maintenance.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Operations and Process Control: Operate brewing machinery according to standard work instructions. Perform regular quality checks and monitor performance against targets to ensure efficiency.
- Waste Management: Record waste data and identify trends to reduce loss. Respond quickly to any production stoppages to minimize downtime.
- Problem Solving: Use formal problem-solving techniques to identify and fix technical issues. Work with team members to resolve complex problems and escalate them to the team leader when necessary.
- Safety and Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following 5S principles and identifying potential hazards.
- Continuous Improvement: Use data and charts to find ways to simplify tasks and reduce variation in the production process.
- Maintenance: Perform routine cleaning, lubrication, and inspection of machinery. Carry out scheduled maintenance tasks and assist the maintenance support team during major service days.
Minimum Requirements
- A valid Trade Test qualification in Instrumentation.
- A minimum of an N3 qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Strong technical troubleshooting skills and a commitment to safety.
