Traffic Inspector
Saldanha Bay Municipality is a local government body located in the Western Cape Province, approximately 140 kilometers north of Cape Town. We are seeking a professional and dedicated Traffic Inspector to join our safety and security team.

Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this position, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- A Grade 12 certificate.
- A Basic Traffic Officer training qualification (Traffic Diploma).
- A valid Code B driving license.
- No criminal record.
- Proficiency in using firearms.
- Strong communication skills in at least two of the three official languages of the region.
- Excellent interpersonal and public relations skills.
- The ability to work effectively under pressure and in stressful situations.
- 2 to 5 years of relevant work experience.
- A Grade B examiner of driving licenses qualification will be an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following duties:
- Enforcing the Road Traffic Act and various Municipal By-Laws.
- Ensuring compliance with the National Land Transport Act.
- Managing, regulating, and controlling traffic flow.
- Attending and managing motor vehicle accident scenes.
- Providing road safety education to students and scholars.
- Performing official escort duties.
- Attending court proceedings and providing professional evidence.
