Bergrivier Municipality serves over 56,000 residents across various regions, including Redelinghuys, Velddrif, Porterville, and Piketberg. We are committed to providing quality services to our community and are currently looking for a dedicated Resort Attendant to join our team at Pelican Resort.
Job Overview
The successful candidate will assist in the daily operations and maintenance of the resort. This role requires a person who is responsible, hardworking, and willing to perform physical tasks in various environments.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Education: Minimum of Grade 10 (Matric preferred).
- Experience: 1 to 2 years of relevant experience.
- Language Skills: Must be able to speak, read, and write in at least two of the official languages of the Western Cape (English, Afrikaans, or isiXhosa).
- Skills: Ability to perform basic calculations and math.
Key Responsibilities & Working Conditions
- Maintain a high level of responsibility in all tasks.
- Be available to work outside of normal hours, including planned overtime and emergencies.
- Work across different areas of the Municipality as needed.
- Be comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Be prepared to enter confined spaces, such as manholes, pipes, and culverts, when required for maintenance.
