The South African Bureau of Standards (SABS) invites unemployed graduates to apply for a one-year Internship Programme starting in April 2026. This initiative is designed to provide young professionals with practical work experience, mentorship, and learning opportunities that align with national skill priorities.
Programme Overview
- Job Type: 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract
- Monthly Stipend: R8,000.00
- Location: Pretoria, Gauteng
- Field: Finance / Accounting / Audit
Minimum Requirements
To be eligible for this programme, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Must be a South African citizen.
- Must be between the ages of 18 and 35.
- Must have completed a relevant Bachelor’s degree in Finance or a related field.
- Must have achieved a minimum academic average of 80% for the completed qualification.
- Must have no prior formal work experience related to the field of study.
- Must be currently unemployed.
Key Responsibilities
Successful candidates will participate in a structured learning environment to gain meaningful workplace experience. Duties include:
- Participating in training and development initiatives.
- Gaining practical experience through rotational assignments and hands-on learning.
- Assisting with departmental projects, research, and administrative tasks.
- Applying academic knowledge to real-world business scenarios.
- Collaborating with team members and supervisors to meet departmental goals.
- Submitting progress reports and completing required assessments.
- Complying with all organizational policies and professional standards.
