2026 SABS Youth Development Programme: Project Management Office

The South African Bureau of Standards (SABS) is looking for talented, unemployed graduates to join our one-year Youth Development Programme. Starting in April 2026, this internship offers practical work experience, professional mentoring, and learning opportunities designed to help you build a successful career.

Programme Overview

  • Duration: 12-Month Fixed Term Contract
  • Location: Pretoria, Gauteng
  • Stipend: R8,000.00 per month
  • Field: Project Management Office (PMO)

Minimum Requirements

To qualify for this programme, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Be a South African citizen.
  • Be between the ages of 18 and 35.
  • Have completed a relevant Bachelor’s degree.
  • Have maintained a minimum academic average of 80% for your qualification.
  • Have no previous formal work experience related to your field of study.
  • Be currently unemployed.

What You Will Do

As an intern in the Project Management Office, your responsibilities will include:

  • Taking part in structured training and professional development sessions.
  • Gaining hands-on experience through various departmental assignments.
  • Assisting the team with project tasks, research, and administrative duties.
  • Applying the knowledge from your studies to real-world business challenges.
  • Collaborating with supervisors and team members to reach project goals.
  • Providing regular progress reports and completing required assessments.
  • Following all company policies and professional standards.
