2026 SABS Youth Development Programme: ICT & Knowledge Management

The South African Bureau of Standards (SABS) invites talented, unemployed graduates to apply for our one-year Internship Programme starting in April 2026. This programme is designed to provide practical work exposure, professional mentoring, and learning opportunities that align with both organizational and national skills priorities.

Programme Overview

  • Role: ICT & Knowledge Management Intern
  • Duration: 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract
  • Location: Pretoria, Gauteng
  • Stipend: R8,000.00 per month

Minimum Requirements

To be considered for this programme, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be a South African citizen.
  • Must be between the ages of 18 and 35.
  • Must have completed a relevant degree or diploma.
  • Must have achieved a minimum academic average of 80% for the completed qualification.
  • Must have no formal work experience related to your field of study.
  • Must be currently unemployed.

Duties and Responsibilities

As a participant in the Youth Development Programme, your responsibilities will include:

  • Participating in structured training and development initiatives.
  • Gaining practical experience through departmental rotations and hands-on learning.
  • Assisting with ICT projects, research, and administrative tasks.
  • Applying your academic knowledge to real-world workplace challenges.
  • Collaborating effectively with team members and supervisors to meet objectives.
  • Submitting regular progress reports and completing required assessments.
  • Adhering to all organizational policies and professional standards.
